The front and rear wings could set teams back $253,000 each. The intricate software for the steering wheel costs an estimated $55,000. Overall, it's a substantial expense for the teams, even with the budget cap era in place. Read more

๐Ÿ“บ F1 is Skyrocketing in U.S. - ABC/ESPN has achieved record-breaking U.S. TV audiences during the first half of the season. The Belgian Grand Prix attracted 1.17 million viewers on average, up 12 percent from 2022, and the 2023 F1 season is averaging 1.24 million viewers per race, making it the highest ever for F1 in the United States. ๐ŸŒ Brrrake from Twitter was going over lap times from the Belgian GP and discovered something interesting regarding Red Bull. He saw there was a section of the race where both drivers were losing a ton of timeโ€ฆ on purpose. In his Youtube video, he discusses various theories on why this might have happened. Itโ€™s an interesting watch if you want to nerd out.

๐Ÿฆ Super Max - Verstappen is unstoppable in Formula 1 right now, winning 10 out of 12 races this year, an 83% win rate. He's aiming to beat the record for most victories in a single season (15) and might even reach 20 wins. Verstappen is also set to break the points record, currently at 93.5% of all possible points. With 12 podium finishes in 12 races, he's likely to beat his own record of 18 podiums in a season. And let's not forget the laps led - 567 so far, with a good chance to break the record of 739 laps in a season. Oh, and it looks like another World Championship is a lock. Read more

๐Ÿค Danny Pushing Yuki - Yuki Tsunoda admits the arrival of experienced teammate Daniel Ricciardo added pressure, leading to "a couple of mistakes." He sees the challenge as a learning experience and feels ready to fight in the second half of the F1 season. Tsunoda values his consistency and aims to continue improving, even after facing setbacks. ๐Ÿ“œ Chuckโ€™s $60M Contract - Charles Leclerc's Ferrari future remains uncertain despite rumors of a lucrative 2+3 year contract, which could see him earning at least $60 million. The Monegasque driver is cleverly negotiating options to evaluate Ferrari's performance after the 2026 rule changes before committing until 2029. Thatโ€™s where the +3 comes into play for the contract, which gives him the option. ๐Ÿ‘• AlphaTauri Takeover by Hugo Boss - Red Bull is in talks with fashion brand Hugo Boss for a title sponsorship deal with the AlphaTauri F1 team starting in 2024. The team is undergoing a rebrand to become more financially sustainable and align with Red Bull's plans for a new permanent team name. Hugo Boss seeks greater F1 exposure and may rebrand AlphaTauri as 'Boss' or 'Boss Orange.' The negotiations are ongoing with other interested companies. Read more
