📺 Danny in the Booth

Are you ready for a new way to watch Formula 1? If so, you won't want to miss this. Danny Ricciardo and Will Arnet are hosting a new show called "The Grandstand” that will provide alternate coverage of three F1 races on ESPN, starting with the Canadian GP next weekend.

This show is not your typical race commentary. It's more like watching F1 with your friends, as Daniel and Will chat, joke, and share insights about the sport, along with famous guests. You'll get to see F1 from the perspective of a currentish driver and a passionate fan.

The show is produced by ESPN in collaboration with Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions, and will air on ESPN2, while the regular telecast will be on ABC. The first edition will feature Daniel on-site in Montreal, while Will will join remotely. They will also cover two more races: US GP and the Las Vegas GP. Read More

💥 Sargeant Crash Exposes Williams

Logan Sargeant's crash in Barcelona exposed Williams. Some viewers may have noticed when the car was lifted up that the floor looked simpler than those of the leading teams, especially Red Bull. The team principal, James Vowles, explained why that is the case, and what the team is doing to improve its performance and downforce.

He said that the photos taken of the floor were a bit deceptive, as they focused on the rear diffuser ramp, where the regulations limit the amount of detail that can be added. He also said that copying what other teams do is not the solution, as the team needs to understand the science and the reason behind their designs.

He added that the team is always learning from others, but it also has its own methods and systems to generate downforce in an efficient manner for its car. He assured that the team is working hard to develop its car and make it faster. Read More

The Spanish star has been a revelation in his first season with Aston Martin, scoring five podiums and 99 points so far. Aston Martin’s Team Principal, Mike Krack, says that he is happy to hear that Alonso plans to stay with Aston Martin for a few more years, and that he admires his motivation and desire to be at the front. He also says that he does not overthink about how long Alonso will drive for the team, and that the team takes it race by race.

Krack comments on the possibility of Aston Martin winning a race this year, saying that it is hard to predict because of the relative competition. He wants Aston Martin to be ready for any opportunity that comes, and that they have to work hard to keep themselves in the position to be there. Will Alonso and Aston Martin achieve their first victory together this year? Read More
